What does green mean: As compared to what?

If your printer employs traditional methods to produce printed products that include using virgin-fiber paper, petroleum-based inks, toxic solvents, and chlorine-bleached papers, then your printed piece might be doing damage the environment.

Many members of the printing industry, including Design Printing, have made big efforts to change these and can offer thoughtful and high quality alternatives. Ask your printer for: FSC and SFI certified paper stocks: committed to replanting and reforestation, the use of vegetable-based inks: water-based, non-toxic and no V.O.C. emissions, and direct computer-to-plate technology, which eliminates the additional step of creating metal plates.
